This year David Spangler has takes his quarterly explorations in Views from the Borderlands in a new direction. He is working with his Sidhe colleague Mariel in developing new stories of the imagination. To quote David:
“On the other hand, Mariel once said that the Sidhe don’t “have imagination,” they “are imagination.” This doesn’t mean they are “imaginary.” In the context in which she said it, I believe it means they naturally embody an energy of life, possibility, and creativity that we may experience in those times when we are open to our own imaginations, expanding our sense of wonder in the world. It’s one thing to approach the Sidhe mentally, seeking to understand them the way we might understand a different culture, but it’s something else again to engage them emotionally and imaginatively.”
As with any explorations there are twists and turns on the path and sometimes dead ends and forks along the way. What began as text style book has become a series of stories with the first already shared with subscribers. What new adventures await? Subscribe and join the journey.
