Why is it called a Congress?

A Congress is defined as ‘A meeting of representatives from different groups at which ideas are discussed and information is exchanged’.

This is the heart of what the Fairy Congress is about – coming together with our subtle allies to join forces, to learn how we can work together in healing and regenerating the Earth.

Both Sidhe and Humans share vibrant connections with nature. Environmental degradation and loss of species habitat and diversity mutually concern us both. Members of Sidhe foresee the possibility of working in partnership again, creating viable ecosystems in a transformed world. The class, Deepening into Nature and Oneself, is an opportunity to learn naturalist expertise and communication skills with the subtle realms of the Sidhe and other unseen beings.

Ever since I first read Conversations with the Sidhe and Engaging with the Sidhe, Conversations Continued, I have wanted to talk about these books with others who might love them as much as I do. This is a special kind of exploration. Being able to engage with the Sidhe asks more of us than just learning information about them.

The Fairy Congress has proven to be a vanguard event for bridging the dimensions. We are mainly an educational event, however in the fairy spirit we also have lots of fun with music, dancing, singing and a colorful costume parade. We also have meditations and ceremonies throughout the weekend that focus specifically on communing and healing with the fairy realm.

We have had many highly esteemed presenters over the years, including David Spangler and Dorothy Maclean of Findhorn, Peter Tompkins (author of Secret Life of Plants and Secret Life of Nature), RJ Stewart, Orion Foxwood, Caitlin Matthews and Robert Moss.

The conference is designed to help deepen and refine our personal practices of connection and co-creativity with our Gaian cousins, the Sidhe. Over the centuries many have found the Sidhe to be wonderful working partners in creative endeavors. We will look at how the Sidhe might partner with us to shape a positive future for Humanity and for Gaia.

Presenters include: David Spangler, John Matthews, Søren Hauge, and Jeremy Berg.

This year David Spangler has takes his quarterly explorations in a new direction. He is working with his Sidhe colleague Mariel in developing new stories of the imagination. To quote David:

“On the other hand, Mariel once said that the Sidhe don’t “have imagination,” they “are imagination.” This doesn’t mean they are “imaginary.” In the context in which she said it, I believe it means they naturally embody an energy of life, possibility, and creativity that we may experience in those times when we are open to our own imaginations, expanding our sense of wonder in the world. It’s one thing to approach the Sidhe mentally, seeking to understand them the way we might understand a different culture, but it’s something else again to engage them emotionally and imaginatively.”

As with any explorations there are twists and turns on the path and sometimes dead ends and forks along the way. What began as text style book has become a series of stories with the first already shared with subscribers. What new adventures await? Subscribe and join the journey.

Engaging the Sidhe is an online class that will help deepen and refine our personal practices of connection with our Gaian cousins, the Sidhe. Our intent is to foster and serve a gestating "Seed Earth" that will grow our Gaian neighborliness into a strong and loving collaboration.

Throughout this experiential class, practices will be introduced that will allow us to integrate and deepen our connections to our Sidhe cousins and contribute to the life and evolution of our larger human family and planetary home.

Soren Hauge is presenting a series of webinars that will engage our Inner Sidhe nature and give inspiration to engage with our Sidhe relatives. Newcomers can sign up, and the material will also be relevant to more experienced people already working with the Sidhe – outer and inner. The first series will be 5 webinars, each with a duration of 2 hours of mixed teaching, exercises and sharing, followed by suggested practice.
