OVERVIEW
Calling all practical mystics, spiritual naturalists, explorers of consciousness – and anyone in a human body! You are invited to our second Lorian Exploratorium — a “skunkworks-style” offering that gives participants a place to test-drive concepts on the leading edge of Lorian’s subtle ecology research; a space to investigate, innovate, unearth new insights around a particular theme, and see what new understandings might emerge. Bring your keen sense of curiosity, your open heart and mind, and a willingness to question and listen in a full-body way.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Humanity has stepped outside of a loving relationship with nature, creating worldwide ecological disturbance. Our world's current imbalances cannot be solved by environmental action alone. Humans must restore and nurture a shared communal bond with nature.
Indeed, humanity’s contribution is key to the natural world’s wholeness. Our particular capacity to focus caring intent with creative imagination opens new possibilities for nature to better meet and adjust to the rapid ecological changes that are a part of our world’s current evolutionary transformation. We make a difference, and nature welcomes us to reunite with the community of all life.
True to our world’s evolutionary history, these changes come alive through one-on-one daily relationships. This is where we each participate and make a difference in effective change. Yes, collective action is needed, and it’s valuable. But our loving intent for shaping a whole and healthy world is seeded and rooted in our individual, ongoing practice of respect and attunement with our local environments. Our personal impact begins in the natural environment where we live.
This is where the Lorian Exploratorium comes in.
Our theme for this second iteration of the Exploratorium is deepening a partnering relationship with nature. Drawing inspiration from Freya Secrest and Ron Hays recent work with the natural world – and the support they’ve received from the Devas and the Sidhe – we will explore how we can contribute to the health and vitality of Earth’s ecosystems and unfold new relationships based in a spirit of caring and embodied friendship.
As equal participants, partners, and co-creators, we will each engage the relationships we have with nature in our own lives and explore with others how a new human relationship with the subtle intelligences of nature can help us all to meet the environmental challenges facing our world. We’ll share with the group what we are discovering and what new questions are arising for us.
If you are interested in weaving a relationship of healing, blessing, transformation, and wholeness in partnership with Nature around you, this four-week group research project focusing on our foundational relationship with Nature is the place to be.
We invite you to come join us and your fellow eco-mystics as we all dive in and discover what emerges when we practice partnering with Nature in our own lives.
All are welcome to show up in the Exploratorium – to be a human being is to be mystical, after all.
COURSE FORMAT
The Lorian Exploratorium will be held on our online education site, Lorianeducation.com, and will be a combination of live class calls, reading and online forum written discussion.
You will have access to the online discussion and materials 24/7 through your ongoing Learning Library.
Participants will spend time outdoors to look, listen, notice, and use their full sensorium to be open and receptive to the response of nature’s subtle intelligence. Opening up to our whole body experience through our felt sense, imagination, and experiences of color, movement, sound, and texture, we will explore a growing connection with our surrounding environment. From this experience, participants will document and share with each other online and during our live and recorded Zoom sessions, enriching and expanding our possibilities for discovery.
Each Saturday at 9 am Pacific Time, Freya and Ron will host a live Zoom webinar, where there will be presentation and discussion.
This class is a container where each participant’s contribution is an essential ingredient in the experience. In other words, your voice matters! We heartily welcome and ask for your active participation in the live webinars and in our written discussions, as your insights and questions energize the field of engagement and support the enrichment for all.
