Deepening Into Nature and Oneself

Sidhe and Humanity share vibrant connections with nature. Environmental degradation and loss of species habitat and diversity mutually concern us both. Members of Sidhe foresee the possibility of working in partnership again, creating viable ecosystems in a transformed world. The class is an opportunity to learn naturalist expertise and communication skills with the subtle realms of the Sidhe and other unseen beings.

Overview

Noticing enhances our experience and understanding of what it is to be a Gaian Being in the world. In this course, we will practice the techniques of a naturalist, delve into the art of observation, and expand our vocabulary and skill in identifying and understanding our natural surroundings. Although much of the news about the environment can be discouraging these days, a deep connection to nature ignites and fosters joy and hope in individuals and regenerative, positive action in communities.

As we build and develop these very practical skills, we will also engage in exercises that develop subtle levels of awareness and go beyond that which can be seen with the eye, heard with the ear, or felt by the skin. Our naturalist skills will allow us to observe, listen and feel deeply into the language and patterns of the Gaian world, and bring us into greater connection with subtle, unseen worlds and our own roles as Gaian Beings on Planet Earth.

Description

This class is for people who feel called to:

  • deepen their connection to the flow of the natural world

  • connect to the wisdom of the natural language of Gaia

  • develop a set of skills to hold peace and calm within themselves, their community, and the world at large

  • explore ways of being generative in response to the call from the new world that is emerging

Our nine-week course will have live classes each week via Zoom. These live classes introduce the participants to practices and exercises that enable them to expand their exploration, engagement, experience, and contemplation of the natural world. The core intent of the course is the development of an individual’s daily practice that takes place outdoors, engaging with nature in the natural environment.

Class Format

Each participant will be invited to locate a spot outdoors in an easily accessible natural environment to establish a daily practice of observation and interaction with the natural surroundings. A commitment to the development of this practice is considered a fundamental aspect of this class.

The class will be held online on the lorianeducation.com website. Faculty will offer written support and other materials, and students are encouraged to post their own writings, photos, observations, and discoveries.

Weekly live meetings will alternate between Group Webinar Presentations and mentored Small Group gatherings. Live webinar presentations will be recorded and the audio files will be available online and downloadable.
